Saturday, April 20: Gabby Pahinui Waimanalo Kanikapila. This annual event was initiated by Cyril Pahinui as a tribute to his father, Gabby Pahinui, in 2007. Since then, it has grown to become one of Hawai`i’s premier celebrations of Hawaiian music. The festival celebrates the musical heritage of Waimānalo, Gabby’s April 22nd birthday, Cyril’s April 21st birthday, and offers a special recognition of Cyril.
