Saturday, May 5: Cinco de May Fiesta, Plant Sale & Craft Fair.  This free event will feature a plant sale, craft fair, live music, a beer & margarita garden and lots of fun. $5 specials include plants, crafts, food & drinks and entrance to McBryde Garden. Thursday Afternoons: Free Weekly Hula Shows. Kalāheo. Beginning May 10th, the National Tropical Botanical Garden (NTBG) will have free weekly hula shows every Thursday from 2–2:45 PM at the NTBG South Shore Visitors Center located at 4425 Lāwa‘i Road across the street from Spouting Horn. Hālau Ka Lei Mokihana O Leinā’ala will perform a traditional Hula show highlighting the “wahi pana,” sacred places, of Kaua’i along with intriguing stories of the Hawaiian people and their connections with the gardens.
