Pailolo Challenge 2014. The Pailolo Challenge is an incredible 26-mile downwind canoe race from D.T. Fleming Beach on Maui, 5855 Lower Honoapiilani Hwy., Lahaina, to Kaunakakai Pier on Molokai. Paddling teams from all over the globe come to participate in “The World’s Funnest Canoe Race.” 8 a.m. Opening Ceremony, 8:30 a.m. Aunties Start, 9 a.m. Women’s Start, 9:15 a.m. Men’s start.
