King Kamehameha Celebration Floral Parade and Ho`olaulea. This colorful celebration honors the reign of King Kamehameha, who was responsible for uniting the Hawaiian Islands under his rule in 1795. The Parade starts at 9 a.m. at King and Richards Streets in downtown Honolulu and the Ho`olaulea will be located at the Kaka`ako Makai Gateway Park, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Arrive early before 8 a.m. as the streets will be closed for the parade to pass through and reopened following the parade.
