Hawai`i Opera Theatre – The Mikado. Performed with members of the Hawai’i Symphony Orchestra, Gilbert and Sullivan’s romp through the mythical and nonsensical fantasy world of The Mikado, as performed by the stellar Hawai`i Opera Theatre with both international and local stars. Set in Japan and a satire on English society, the storyline of The Mikado weaves the two cultures together with humorous lyrics and elaborate plot twists.
