Makawao Town’s 27^th Annual Chinese New Year’s Lion Dance Celebration. Makawao merchants invite you to come and join in this celebration. Au’s Shaolin Arts will offer the Lion Dance with a Martial Arts Demonstration and plenty of firecrackers to open the New Year. The corner of Baldwin and Makawao Avenues. 10 a.m. to noon After the demonstration the lion will dance through the streets of Makawao.
