presents the chamber music of “Tropix” at 7PM at the Fairmont Orchid Hotel. Brazilian violinist Manoela Wunder joins Resident Conductor Philip Simmons (guitar) for a French and Latin program featuring works by Debussy, Ravel, Paganini, Villa-Lobos, Piazzolla, and others. Thi s outdoor presentation takes place rain or shine at the hula platform located near VAC Gallery in Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park. Audience are encouraged to bring sitting mat and sun/rain gear. On the same day, there are hands-on cultural demonstrations from 9:30Am to 1:30PM on the gallery porch. All events are free (donations welcome); park entrance fees apply.
