E Kankapila Kakou 2019:  E Kanikapila Kakou enters its 36th season with the theme “Music is Our Mo`olelo”.
Guest entertainers from around the islands will share their stories of important events, places and people in song.  A donation in the calabash treats you to an unforgettable evening of aloha from the heart.  There’s a No-Host bar and food concession in the ballroom. Maui Humane Society’s Beach Buddies Visitor Program

Maui Humane Society’s Beach Buddies Visitor Program.
Do you miss having a dog to spend your day with? Visitors and residents can sign up to take a homeless dog out for the day from the Maui Humane Society animal shelter. The shelter is easy to find as it is conveniently located in Pu`unene (central Maui) on Mokulele Hwy., between Kihei/Wailea and Kahului. Program participants will pick “their dog” up at 10 a.m. and bring them back no later than 3 p.m. MHS provides all of the supplies, you just provide the fun! Weekly Tahitian Dance Camp

Weekly Tahitian Dance Camp for girls 5-14yrs from 9:30am-12:30pm at Kilauea Dance & Fitness.

The Emily T Gail Show

The Emily T Gail Show, aka “Emily T Gail Talk Story” is about sports, recreation and community events where Emily is involved: Hawai`i Island and Detroit, her home town.  Sponsored by Aloha Big Island Visitor Guide, recent shows include interesting talk stories with John and Judy Collins, founders 40 years ago of the Ironman World Championship which was held in Kailua-Kona in October.  Emily will have interviews with players, fans, PGA officials, volunteers and others from the PGA TOUR Champions Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai that was at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai in January for the 23rd year. Tom Lehman won by 1 shot over David Thoms.  The MEC and PGA have donated over a million dollars to the Rotary Club of Kona Community Foundation, Big Island Junior Golf, and Daniel R. Historical Walking Tour of Makawao Town.
  Want to learn more about the history of Makawao? The Makawao History Museum will be having walking tours of Makawao Town with a guide and brochure/map.  Meet the tour guide at the Museum at 10 a.m. Residents and visitors are invited, families welcome. Suggested donation of $10.00 will help ensure the continued preservation of the history of Makawao and Upcountry. Additional Walking Tours are scheduled for the first Sunday of every month.  Reservations are helpful in enabling a more personal tour experience, but they are not required.
