Fourth of July Parade & Celebration – Volcano Village

Fourth of July Parade & Celebration – Volcano Village.  The parade will begin at 9 a.m. at the Volcano Post Office and proceed for one half mile along Old Volcano Road to Cooper Community Center, featuring the Hawai`i County Band, floats, antique cars, fire engines, bicycles, horses, and animals in costumes! Great Waikoloa Rubber Duckie Race/Benefit and Family Fourth & Fireworks Extravaganza. Held at the Kings’ Shops at Waikoloa Beach Resort, this is a benefit for United Cerebral Palsy Assn. of Hawai`i. PMRF Independence Day Freedom Celebration

PMRF Independence Day Freedom Celebration.  Enjoy food, games and craft booths, music by local musicians, and a heart-pounding fireworks display. Admission is free for this family-oriented event. Annual Makawao Paniolo Parade

Saturday, July 2: 
Annual Makawao Paniolo Parade.  Enjoy this colorful Hawaiian style small town Wild West parade in Makawao, along Makawao and Baldwin Avenues. Road closures for the parade generally begin at 8:30 a.m., so plan accordingly.  8:45 a.m. – Stick Horse Race (everyone is welcome to participate); 9 to 11 a.m. – Parade. There will be no parking in town. Arrive early to park at Eddie Tam Community Center or at the Oskie Rice Arena, in Olinda, which has free shuttle service from 7 to 9 a.m., and back from the parade starting at 11:30 a.m.  For information call (808) 283-2741.
