Chefs will get a particular cut of meat a couple days before the event and come up with a way to serve it. Graze your way though samples of each recipe while you mix and mingle with farmers and ranchers who provided the Kauai-grown products for the feast. The 10 mile race will start at 7:00 a.m., the 10-K race will start at 7:15 a.m., and the 5-K race and 5-K walk will start at 7:30 a.m. Breakfast will be served at the end of the race at about 9:00 a.m.. at which time the winners will be announced. Multiple Na Hoku Hanohano Award Winner Kainani Kahaunaele is one of the most notable talents of her generation. She was raised by her grandparents in a rural community on Kaua’i surrounded by four generations of musical talent. Her love for Hawaiian music was infused at an early age, playing ‘ukulele and harmonizing with the Kahaunaele, Panui and Kaluahine families. In 2011, Kainani won the Hawaiian Language Performance award and Haku Mele composer award for songs on her second album, ‘Ohai Ula.
