Pacific Aviation Museum Living History Day

September 23, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 4:30 pm

Saturday, September 23:
Pacific Aviation Museum Living History Day.
This year’s event will recognize the role of film and photography in documenting and preserving the events of WWII. A special screening of “Finding KUKAN” will be held at 2:30 p.m. in the Museum’s theater, followed by a question and answer session with the documentary’s filmmaker, Hawai`i resident Robin Lung. “Finding KUKAN” is an award-winning documentary that uncovers the forgotten story of Hawai`i resident Li Ling-Ai, the uncredited female producer of “Kukan,” an Academy Award-winning color documentary about WWII China that has been lost for decades.  There will be no additional charge for the “Finding KUKAN” screening and question and answer session. Seating for the film is limited. Please reserve a seat by completing the registration form online.   The event is held in affiliation with Smithsonian Magazine Museum Day Live!, providing free admission for up to two visitors, for visitors who present a Museum Day Live! ticket, downloadable off the website.  Pacific Aviation Museum, 319 Lexington Blvd., Honolulu.  9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.   For tickets and information call (808) 441-1000 or visit http://www.pacificaviationmuseum.org/.
