Theo Von – Dark Arts. Castle Theater; 7:30 pm Theo Von is a stand-up comedian, podcaster, TV personality, host, and actor. His podcast, “This Past Weekend,” is one of the top comedy podcasts, garnering five million listens a month on audio alone. Theo has appeared numerous times on Joe Rogan’s podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience,” regularly on Joey Diaz’s “The Church of What’s Happening Now,” and was voted guest of the year on “The Fighter and the Kid” by TFATK listeners in both 2017 and 2018. Von was the host of TBS’s hidden camera show “Deal With It,” which ran for three seasons. His 2015 Netflix special is titled “No Offense,” and he also hosted Yahoo’s popular daily recap show, “Primetime in No Time,” one of the most-watched shows on the web with nearly one million views per day. Great Whale Count – Month of February

Great Whale Count – Month of February. The annual Great Whale Count brings volunteers together to count whales from 12 survey sites along the shoreline of Maui as part of a long-term survey of humpback whales in Hawaii. This event provides the PWF Research department with a snapshot of trends in relative abundance of whales and is one of the world’s longest-running citizen scientist projects, also offering a chance to spend time at a favorite spot or to explore a new part of the island. McCoy Studio Theater; 7:30 pm Renowned for his eloquent Americana style, engaging live shows, and off-the-cuff clever observations, John Craigie carries on the legacy of classic singer-songwriters while blazing a trail of his own. Recently, that trail twisted and turned into new territory for the Portland, OR, performer, who The Stranger appropriately dubbed, “the lovechild of John Prine and Mitch Hedberg.” His music speaks to both audiences and fellow artists. His fifth full-length album, No Rain, No Rose boasted two collaborations with Gregory Alan Isakov. He has also earned acclaim from SF Weekly, Seattle Times, AXS, and more. Assistance Dogs of Hawaii’s Valentine’s Benefit Event. Assistance Dogs of Hawaii’s Annual Valentine’s Benefit Event will be held on Saturday, February 22nd at The Four Seasons Wailea. Enjoy a fabulous 3-course dinner while you listen to inspiring speakers. Delight in music by Maui’s own, Derick Sebastian and browse our silent auction. Meet some of our “puppies in training” as they share their puppy love with our guests at our “Puppy Kissing Booth”. Kim Gennaula and Guy Hagi will emcee this special event. Tickets are $175.00 and tables of 10 are $1,750.00. We invite you to support a life-changing, Hawaii-based charitable organization 501 (c)(3).Proceeds raised at the Valentine’s Event will help Assistance Dogs of Hawaii provide Assistance Dogs, free of charge, to residents of Hawaii for people with physical disabilities and other special needs. This is a special year for Assistance Dogs of Hawaii as they celebrate their 20th anniversary. Since its inception in 2000, Assistance Dogs of Hawaii has graduated over 100 Service Dogs for children and adults with physical disabilities and other special needs. In addition to placing Service Dogs for people with physical disabilities, ADH places Hospital Facility Dogs like Samson at Kapi’olani Medical Center, Ipo at the Queen’s Medical Center and Angel at Straub Medical Center. ADH also places Courthouse Dogs at Prosecutor’s Offices around the state, helping children who are victims of crime through the difficult legal process.

Art To Heart Gala. The 15th Annual Maui Plein Air Painting Invitational presented by Maui Arts League February 15-23, 2020 encompasses nine days, 16 events, and more than 200 original paintings. The largest plein air painting invitational in Hawaii, it showcases the works of 24 professional painters from across the US and as far away as Australia. The painters capture the images of Maui – its people, beaches and ocean scenes, majestic mountains, verdant valleys, and historical buildings. The public watches artists create inspiring works, attends art sales and participates in educational workshops, lectures, panel discussions, and more. Ticketed events include Pre- and Post-event workshops, the elegant “Art to Heart Gala” and “Take an Artist to Breakfast”. Free events such as paint outs, auctions, and art sales, take place throughout the schedule at various locations across the island. The Art to Heart Gala is an elegant evening, a tribute to the 24 participating artists, features a champagne reception, Ku’ia Chocolate tasting, gourmet dining (choice of entrée), entertainment, and original paintings for sale.
