Aloha,  On behalf of the people of the County of Hawai‘i, it is my great honor and privilege to welcome visitors to the Island of Hawai’i, one of the most beautiful places in the world. 

We invite you to learn about the wonders of Kilauea volcano, or look out from the towering summit of Mauna Kea, to tour historic Hilo, or savor the warmth and beauty of Kona. 

We hope you will take time to experience our unique mix of cultures, cuisine and history, to learn about the paniolo heritage of the Hawaiian cowboys of Waimea, and discover the rich, long history of the sugar plantations.
