Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade.
  Gaily lit and decorated Cobra helicopter joins the other floats and bands, to parade down Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki.  6 p.m.

Waikola Village Christmas Parade and Keiki Fest

Saturday, December 9:
Waikola Village Christmas Parade and Keiki Fest.
  The Parade will begin at 10 a.m. at the corner of Waikoloa Road and Paniolo Road and will go down to Waikoloa School along Paniolo Road, which will be closed from 10 to 11 a.m. The Keiki Fest will follow the parade from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the school. There will be free food and games for keiki, and vendors for adults. Keiki who attend may enter a drawing for a bicycle and other prizes. The Snow King or Queen will be featured in the parade along with several other dignitaries, local businesses and cars. The Snow King or Queen will be the winner of the Lions Club essay contest and the college scholarship that goes with it.

Kailua-Kona Community Christmas Parade.

Enjoy a well-deserved break from the hustle and bustle of the holidays with the Hawai’i Symphony Orchestra (HSO) at its annual Holiday Pops concert, part of its music that POPS series, featuring Grammy-nominated vocalist Amy Hanai`ali`i.  The 18-time Na Hoku Hanohano award winner will fill the stage with song, hula and holiday joy as she joins the HSO for the first time singing songs from her Na Hoku award-winning Christmas Album, A Hawaiian Christmas.
