Hammers N’ Ales: Kaua`i’s Oktoberfest.
  Enjoy food and live music by Homestead, Cruz Control and Not My First Rodeo.  A benefit for Kaua`i Habitat for Humanity. Emalani Festival

Emalani Festival.
  A day of song, hula, history and pageantry, celebrating Hawai`i’s beloved Queen Emma and recalling her journey to the Koke`e uplands and Kilohana vista in 1871. Queen Emma will enter the meadow on horseback at 11 a.m. Exhibits, craft tables, silent auction, and a snack shop enhance the festival experience. Carpooling is recommended as parking is limited. Bring your own blankets or chairs (no tents or coolers). Animals are not permitted in state parks. Admission is free and all are welcome to join in the festivities. Ironman World Championship Triathlon

Ironman World Championship Triathlon.
  Considered one of the most grueling one-day sporting events in the world, triathletes from around the world swim through the waters surrounding Kailua Pier, bike through Kona roads to the Kohala Coast and back, and run a marathon course that ends at Ali`i Drive with thousands of cheering spectators at the finish line.
