Kona Coffee Living History Farm’s Farm Fest Open House. 
This annual festival honors Kona’s historical, agricultural and coffee heritage. The event’s theme this year is “From Farm to Table” and will be featuring celebrity chef Sam Choy demonstrating how to cook sustainably from the garden. There will be “Hands on History” activities that visitors can participate in, such as tofu making, pickling, pan-roasting coffee and medicinal gardening. The farm’s traditional chicken hekka lunch will also be available along with community vendors, an historical photo exhibit; tours of the 1920’s farmhouse & coffee mill and more! Fee-Free Day: National Public Lands Day
– Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park NPLD is the nation’s largest, single-day volunteer effort for public lands. Come to Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park and help ensure the future of the Hawaiian rainforest. Volunteers will help remove invasive, non-native plants that prevent native plants from growing. Meet at Kilauea Visitor Center at 8:45 a.m. Wear sturdy hiking shoes and long pants. Bring a hat, rain gear, day pack, snacks and water. Gloves and tools are provided. No advance registration is required. Park entrance is free, and NPLD volunteers will also receive a pass to return and enjoy the park fee-free on another day of their choosing. 71st Annual Aloha Festivals Floral Parade

71st Annual Aloha Festivals Floral Parade.
Parade will take place 9 a.m. to 12 noon, from Ala Moana Park, along Kalakaua Avenue to Kapiolani Park.  A colorful equestrian procession of female and male pa`u riders, extravagant floats with cascades of Hawaiian flowers, hula Halau and marching bands will brighten Kalakaua Avenue from Ala Moana Park to Kapiolani Park.   Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley is a Jamaican reggae artist and the youngest son of iconic reggae musician Bob Marley. Damian was two years old when his father died.  He is the only child born to Marley and Cindy Breakspeare, Miss World 1976. Damian’s nickname, “Junior Gong,” is derived from his father’s nickname, Tuff Gong.  J Boog is a singer who fuses reggae with R&B, hip hop, and rock. He was born in Long Beach, California, but primarily raised in Compton. Of Samoan ancestry (his father was a tribal chief in his neighborhood), Boog’s first influence was his sister, who sang and played piano.
