Chinese Kite Festival.
  Celebrate the wide world of kites and national kite month during a traditional Chinese Kite Festival at the Wo Hing Museum & Cookhouse on Front Street in Lahaina on Friday. Then go fly kites and see sport kites at the outdoor Kite Festival on Saturday at Lahaina Cannery Mall’s open space lawn. On Friday between 10 a.m. and 8:30 p.m., a traditional Chinese Kite Festival takes place at the Wo Hing Museum on Front Street. Enjoy an exhibit of handmade kites in traditional and modern styles. Help make a large kite to be flown the next day; purchase one of the many kites for sale. Hear presentations on the history of kites around the world and kite sports. There will be Chinese music and entertainment, teas and food samples served in the garden. On Saturday, take the whole family to fly kites from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This outdoor event takes place on the Lahaina Cannery Mall’s open lawn off Hono`api`ilani Hwy. Watch aerial displays of acrobatic sport kites and kite fighting from Hawai`i Kitefliers Association and kite masters.   Mistaken identities of every shape and size commence in a classic farce of Shakespearean proportions. Comedy of Errors is Shakespeare’s earliest comedy and shortest surviving play. Separated at birth, two sets of long-lost twins are loose in the same town. Mistaken identities make for hilarious complications; servants are sent on wrong errands, jewelry is given to the wrong person, and husbands are locked out of their own homes. Roots & Shoots Fun Run ‘n Walk

Roots & Shoots Fun Run ‘n Walk.
  Attendees will be shuttled into McBryde Garden from the South Shore Visitors Center located at 4425 Lawai Road (across the street from Spouting Horn in Po`ipu). Parking will be available at the South Shore Visitors Center and participants are encouraged to arrive early to park and check-in.  After the run, participants will enjoy a complimentary snack sponsored by Living Foods Gourmet Market along with coffee provided by Kaua`i Coffee Company. A silent auction will also take place after the run.
