The run begins at 7 a.m. and includes a breakfast and microfiber T-shirt. Sun Yat-Sen Festival in Lahaina.
  Try Chinese martial arts on the museum lawn, or cultural activities like calligraphy and knot tying. See large displays depicting the life of Sun Yat-sen from Maui to China along with a film tribute. Enjoy a presentation in the old Cookhouse on the significance of Dr. Sun’s work and his connection to Maui. Sample traditional Cantonese foods and Chinese teas.   A free, guided rain forest tour in Volcano. This one-hour nature walk travels through a lush portion of an old-growth Hawaiian rain forest on an easy, 1/7-mile loop trail. The walk introduces visitors to the native plants and birds of Volcano. Guides focus on the biological, ecological, and geological features of the area, and the cultural usages of flora and fauna by native Hawaiians. Kumu Hula Kamaka Kukona and Hālau o Ka Hanu Lehua ring in the holiday season with a benefit concert hōʻike.  A special celebratory night of beautiful chant, music, and hula featuring Hawai`i’s trio sensation, Keauhou, and other special guests. Proceeds will be used towards the hālau’s participation in the 2017 Merrie Monarch Hula Festival and Queen Liliʻuokalani Keiki Hula Festival.
