  Hands on History activities will be held at the Farm every day at 11 a.m., which may include Pan Roasting Coffee, Sustainability in the Kitchen Garden, Japanese Calligraphy, and others. Visit the 1920s farmhouse where you may find the homemaker starting the fire to cook rice or making musubi for the farmer’s lunch. Talk story with living history interpreters and discover the story behind Kona’s gourmet crop.   Over 140 vendors will offer a wide variety of made in Maui County crafts and products.  Serious shoppers who want a one-day head start can purchase tickets for a special “Shoppers Preview” on Friday, 1:30 to 6 p.m., with opening ceremonies at approximately 5 p.m. in the Yokouchi Pavilion. $35 Tickets for Friday’s entry can be purchased in advance at (808) 242-7469, or visit www.mauiarts.org. 16th Annual Black & White Night.
  It’s downtown Hilo’s gigantic multi-block party with free music and entertainment in the streets. Live bands will be playing late into the nights as shops, galleries and restaurants welcome visitors into their doors.
