Obon Dance & Festival

Throughout the Month of June: 
Obon Dance & Festival.  The Obon tradition was brought to Hawai`i by Japanese immigrants and evolved into a social and cultural event, as well as a religious custom designed to honor ancestors through an evening of dance, music and merry-making.  Free.  Festivities and Dance schedules and locations are listed below:

Hanapepe Friday Night Festival & Art Walk.  Stroll through the many art galleries in historic Old Town Hanapepe and meet the local artists from 6-9 p.m.  Enjoy shopping at local vendors, several restaurants, art galleries, stilt walkers, classic cars, live music and entertainment.  For information call (808) 335-6469.

Maui Friday Town Parties. Enjoy food, live entertainment, shopping and art. Many retailers, galleries and boutiques operate extended hours and highlight special promotions.
