22nd Annual Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival, Kaua`i Style

22nd Annual Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival, Kaua`i Style.  Event showcases up to 15 artists known in the Slack Key Guitar genre performing for six solid hours. Slack Key Guitar is an indigenous guitar art form that began in 1830 on the Big Island of Hawai`i and will be celebrating 184 years of existence. The event will also feature island crafters, festival merchandise for sale and food and beverage. Kokua Kailua Hulihe`e Palace Concert Series & Village Stroll.  Ali`i Drive along scenic Kailua Bay in Kailua-Kona becomes a festive pedestrian-only walkway from 1 to 6 p.m. Enjoy music, artists, merchants and restaurants. At 4 p.m., there is a free Hawaiian music concert on the lawn at Hulihe`e Palace.
