LTCOL Terry Tonkin, USMC (Ret.), will share his firsthand account of the heroic actions of the Air Force HH-53 aircrews and the Marines whose mission was to free the crew of the merchant marine vessel SS Mayaquez only days following the end of the Vietnam War. This harrowing rescue mission was featured in the Discovery Channel documentary “Seized at Sea: Situation Critical.” Free with Museum admission and free to Museum Members.  Pacific Aviation Museum, 319 Lexington Blvd., Historic Ford Island, Pearl Harbor.
