On Ensemble.  Infusing the powerful rhythms of ensemble Japanese drumming with elements of hip-hop, rock and electronica, the band’s unique sound has been praised as “completely original.” On Ensemble is supported by one of Japan’s most important traditional-culture bearers, Miyamoto Unosuke Shoten, instrument maker to the emperor. Engraved at Lahainaluna Book Presentation by Tom Woods & KHS Membership Meeting.  Dr. Woods will be giving a PowerPoint presentation that features selections from the book, with special emphasis on Big Island engravings. Books will be available for purchase. Refreshments will be served and potluck pupus are always welcome. 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Christ Church Community Center, Kealakekua.
