Return to the 19th century on a lantern-lit tour

Fridays, October 19 & 26:
Return to the 19th century on a lantern-lit tour to visit several historical graves, hear their owners’ stories, and enjoy a cozy hot beverage at the Christ Church Cemetery, the oldest Anglican church in the state of Hawai`i. Reservations are $25 and are required. Check-in is 6:00 p.m. at Christ Church in Kealakekua on Konawaena School Rd. These tours are limited to 25 people, so reservations must be made early either online (store.konahistorical.org) or by calling the KHS office at 808-323-3222.

Sleep with the Sharks

Sleep with the Sharks.  Children ages 8-13 are invited to a fun and educational Halloween-themed sleepover at Maui Ocean Center, Ma’alaea. Experience the Aquarium after dark and explore Hawaii’s fascinating underwater world at night with hands-on discovery lessons and much more. $60 plus tax per child. Princess Ka`iulani Keiki Fest

Princess Ka`iulani Keiki Fest.  Presented by the Storybook Theatre of Hawaii, this very special event honors the life of Princess Ka`iulani and celebrates the culture, cuisine and music of Ni`ihau. Enjoy a full day of Hawaiian cultural activities, performances by local hula halau, celebrity story readers, a main street parade, children’s arts and crafts, a keiki talent show, as well as food and vendor booths.
