King Kamehameha Day Community Parade

Saturday, June 16:
King Kamehameha Day Community Parade. A beautiful floral parade on Ali’i Drive in Kailua Village honoring the great Hawaiian monarch. Featuring Hawaiian- themed entries, including pa’u riders on horseback representing all Hawaiian Islands, marching bands and hula halau. Also food booths, crafts and much more. Na Mea Hawaii Hula Kahiko Performance

Saturday, June 16:
Na Mea Hawaii Hula Kahiko Performance: See traditional hula and chant performed outdoors on the hula platform overlooking Kilauea Crater, featuring Halau Na Pua O Uluhaimalama at 10:30 a.m.; Hawaiian cultural demonstrations at Volcano Art Center Gallery, 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Free; park entrance fees apply. King Kamehameha Celebration

Maui

Saturday, June 16:
King Kamehameha Celebration – Maui. The festivities will take place at 9 a.m. at Kamehameha Iki Park, 505 Front Street, Lahaina. The parade will begin at 9:45 a.m. from Kenui St. down Front St. to Shaw St. Following the parade is a ho’okupu ceremony at Moku’ula Ahu. The ho’olaulea will include exhibits and tours by Friends of Moku’ula, Hui O Waa Kaulua, Makahiki Games with Kula Kaiapuna ma Nahienaena, a pau awards presentation, food booths, Maui made crafters and entertainment.
